OUR COMPLETE STORY

Imagine a small garage, nestled in the heart of Saint-Alexandre-de-Kamouraska. This is where the journey of Les Entreprises JPC began in 2011. Driven by an insatiable thirst to create and help, Carol and Jimmy Ouellet, the founders, spent their weekends crafting steel products for various clients. From raising frames to ditch grates, safety barriers, and guardrails, they applied their talent to a multitude of projects. This period marked the beginning of an intense and fruitful father-son collaboration.

Despite the small size of the space and limited resources, the JPC team of the time managed to achieve remarkable feats, making the most of the small space and modest tools. Their ingenuity and resourcefulness were impressive, allowing the fledgling company to deliver increasingly challenging projects.

Jimmy, Carol's son, was at the forefront of this entrepreneurial adventure. From a young age, he admired his father, fascinated by his hard work and unyielding determination. Carol's example instilled in him deep values: hard work, rigor, and pushing beyond limits.

Drawn to the world of metallurgy, Jimmy pursued studies in welding-assembly, followed by metallurgical inspection. He gained solid expertise, which he put to use in the family business as soon as he finished his academic path. He distinguished himself with an excellent academic record, earning several honors that reflected his commitment and expertise in welding.

The year 2015 marked a turning point for JPC: Jimmy, freshly graduated, decided to fully dedicate himself to the company's growth. With Carol’s solid experience in construction, they combined their strengths to propel JPC to new heights, merging innovation and know-how to meet the growing needs of their clients.

The increasing demand and JPC's growing ambition quickly necessitated new spaces. In 2016, the company built a larger, more suitable factory and moved its operations to the industrial district of Saint-Alexandre. This move symbolized the rapid growth of JPC and its transition to a higher level of professionalism.

This continuous expansion led to several transformations and expansions of the factory, allowing the company to adopt state-of-the-art equipment, optimize manufacturing processes, and handle an increasing volume of large-scale projects. These investments reflect JPC's desire to surpass itself and solidify its position as a leader in the field of metal structures.

The father-son collaboration, while a source of strength and complementarity, is not without its challenges. Discussions are sometimes heated, with both men not backing down from any challenge to push the business forward. Despite their debates, their complementarity results in a surprising synergy. They share a common vision, often anticipating each other's ideas. It’s not uncommon for them to think of the same thing at the same time. This connection, which brings both amusement and pride, speaks to the depth of their relationship and their mutual commitment to JPC.

In 2019, a new chapter began for JPC. Carol left his long-standing job to fully dedicate himself to the family business. He focused on developing the construction side, a strategic choice that enabled JPC to offer a turnkey service to its clients. From estimation to installation, JPC handled all aspects of projects, setting itself apart from the competition and establishing itself as a partner of choice.

The year 2021 marked a key milestone for Les Entreprises JPC with the prestigious project "Expérience" at Montmorency Falls. This large-scale project, reflecting the trust in JPC’s expertise, stood out for its exceptional complexity. It pushed the company to optimize its workforce, modernize its equipment, and adapt its strategies to successfully meet the high demands.

Audacity and courage allowed JPC to constantly adapt to tackle this colossal challenge. This experience enabled the company to develop tools for effective management of large-scale projects and, most importantly, to mobilize their "collective brain."

Today, JPC is proud to be a thriving family business, guided by strong values: transparency, respect, integrity, audacity, and courage. Carol and Jimmy place the well-being of their employees at the heart of their concerns, creating a healthy and fulfilling work environment. They are aware of their responsibility toward their employees, ensuring their happiness and professional development.

Since its beginnings, Les Entreprises JPC has always relied on quality labor to bring its vision to life. By cultivating a work environment focused on values such as integrity, rigor, and audacity, the company has attracted and retained exceptional talent. These professionals, growing alongside JPC, play a crucial role in its expansion, bringing their expertise and dedication to each project. Together, they embody the excellence that defines the company.

JPC’s ambition is clear: to become the number one reference in the manufacture and installation of structural steel in all civil engineering sectors for complex and non-standard projects in Eastern Canada! This bold vision, shared by all team members, guides JPC’s actions and fuels its continuous growth. The company is committed to pushing its limits, innovating, and standing out in a competitive sector.

The story of Les Entreprises JPC is an inspiring narrative, a true human and entrepreneurial adventure. It’s the story of a family united by a passion for well-done work, of a company that grew without ever renouncing its values, and of a dream forged in steel, always bigger and bolder.
