Les Entreprises JPC is proud to have contributed to the realization of the Casavant Railway Bridge in Saint-Hyacinthe, a project awarded the Grand Prix du génie-conseil québécois – 20th edition, 2022, in the Transportation Infrastructure category. This prestigious recognition highlights the innovation, rigor, and exemplary collaboration among all the stakeholders involved, including AECOM, CN, and several partners, including our team.
An Award-Winning Work for Its Technical Innovation
AECOM innovated by creating this new substructure, a first in Canada for a railway project of this scale. This bold technical choice helped overcome complex challenges, such as:
Maintaining Active Rail Traffic: Ensuring continuous rail traffic throughout the work with flawless coordination.
Overcoming Geotechnical Constraints: Addressing the challenges of clayey soils with driven piles and lightweight platforms.
Minimizing Environmental Impact: Preserving nearly 9,320 m² of agricultural land and integrating sustainable solutions.
